On Memorial Day, we will meet at 8:00 AM at the Game and Fish Parking lot for a field trip to Little Red Creek.  Little Red Creek flows off the back side of Casper Mountain and has lots of birds not easily found elsewhere.  There should be lots of Broad-tailed Hummingbirds, Gray Flycatchers, Warbling Vireos, Chats, Green-tailed and Spotted Towhees.  Other good birds that we usually see are White-throated Swifts, Virginia’s and Black-throated Warblers, and there is always the chance for something less common.  We should be back around noon.  Bring good hiking boots, water and snacks.  As of Friday night, the weather looks good, but the dirt roads are subject to being muddy if it rains much.  Call Stacey Scott at 262-0055 for more details.
